UPDATE: Cyclist Killed After Being Struck By Truck During Triathlon
The cyclist was hit by a truck during a triathlon in Subdury.

UPDATE, 11:22 a.m.: WBZ reported that the cyclist involved in the accident has died, and the truck that struck him was a civilian vehicle.
Original Post: A bicyclist was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after being injured during the Sudbury Spring Sprint Triathlon on Sunday morning, reported WCVB-TV.
The cyclist was hit by a truck at the area of Maynard Road and Hudson Road.

A report from iAlerts1 said that a four-man crew was transporting the cyclist with “serious head trauma.”
Around 10:40 a.m., Sudbury police said to avoid the area of Maynard and Hudson Roads, as it is “closed due to a crash investigation.” Detours are in place.

WBZ’s Julie Loncich Tweeted that the driver of the pickup truck stopped after the accident, but police have not responded to whether or not the road was blocked for the race.
