Detours In Sudbury As Water Main Construction Starts
A road closure on Wednesday will precede several weeks of slowdowns along Hudson Road.
SUDBURY, MA — A full day closure of a main Sudbury road on Wednesday will precede several weeks of slowdowns due to a major water main construction project.
Beginning about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, construction crews will shut down Hudson Road at Babe Ruth Drive. Traffic will detour around the area using Fairbank and Maynard roads, according to the town.
From Thursday until approximately June 24, traffic will alternate through the construction area at Babe Ruth Drive. The town is recommending drivers exit Hudson Road and detour using Fairbank Road and Maynard Road (Route 27). Construction hours will be about 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily

Residents who live along the approximately 1-1/2 mile stretch of Hudson Road from Route 27 to Fairbank road will have roadway access during the construction, according to the town. Water outages will also happen during construction, and the town is asking nearby residents to sign up for reverse 911 to get notifications.
