Don't Let Just 100 People Make Big Sudbury Decisions: Letter
In a letter, library trustee Jean Nam asks Sudbury residents to show up for Town Meeting 2022.

The following letter to the editor does not reflect the views of Subdury Patch
Sudbury's Annual Town Meeting starts on May 2 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School Auditorium. Attendance at last year's Town Meeting was barely enough to make quorum, so please consider attending this year to exercise your right to vote on how we spend our tax dollars.
We don't have a mayor or a city council. Decisions about who our money is spent is decided by the people who attend Town Meeting. So, for example, last year, about 100 people made all the decisions for the entire town.

What even happens at Town Meeting? How does it all work?
I've written a brief guide to Town Meeting on a website called The Sudbury Independent. It is a news and opinion blog. Please take a look.
