Egged House, Fighting Brothers and More from the Sudbury Police Log

A daughter of two Meachen Road residents contacted the Sudbury Police Department on Jan. 11 to report her parents' house had been vandalized.

According to Lt. Scott Nix, the house was egged.

Nix said no windows were broken in the egging incident.

No one was at the scene when responding officers arrived.

The daughter also reported someone had been playing ding, dong, ditch two weeks prior.

Jan. 11

• A Tanbark Road resident reported seeing a black bag in the woods near the swimming and tennis club. Responding officers found nothing suspicious in the bag.
• An officer on patrol in the Shaw's Plaza observed what was thought to be a disabled motor vehicle. Upon further investigation, two juvenile brothers were witnessed fighting in the car. According to Nix, the physical and verbal altercation was deemed minor. Peace was restored.

Jan. 12

• A Dakin Road resident reported someone stole a child safety sign that had been in place to warn motorists of children playing in the neighborhood. The alleged theft is under investigation.
• An officer on patrol on Haynes Road witness three kids on the Haynes Elementary School property during closing hours. The kids were having a snowball fight.

Jan. 13

• A Stone Road resident approached a detail officer who was working at Duckett Funeral Home to report someone attending the service caused damage to his property. The matter was resolved.
• A Cobblestone Place resident reported four kids in the neighborhood throwing snow and ringing the doorbell. The resident called a second time to report the kids were in his yard screaming. The kids were gone when officers arrived.
• A person reported seeing a man walking on Landham Road at about 9:36 p.m. Responding officers found a man walking on the sidewalk and asked if he needed assistance. The man declined, explaining he was walking home from a church service.
