My leadership in Sudbury for the last 25-plus years has focused on taking stakeholder concerns and considerations to meetings of our town government to seek and help effect change. I have a successful history of looking at things differently. Bringing new ideas from myself and neighbors to the table for debate and discussion. My approach is pragmatic, consistent, and focused on what can get done, when and at what costs.

I moved to Sudbury in 1995 with my family, my oldest daughter just four days old. She’s now 26, has twin sisters and two stepbrothers. My daughters successfully moved through the Sudbury schools and college while my two stepsons currently attend Curtis and Lincoln-Sudbury. In addition to navigating our school system, I’ve had the pleasure of living in south, central and now north Sudbury. Each time gaining new friends and classmates for the kids, but also more neighborhood support in the community roles I’ve held.

I’ve helped lead the town’s Planning Board and the Finance Committee. In those roles it has been an absolute pleasure to work with dozens if not hundreds of the town staff and volunteers. Most recently I changed the Finance Committee organization to a Co-Chair structure with liaisons being delegated meaningful roles to interact with town departments and school committees. I’ve also collaborated with our Select Board and Town Manager to influence new action and approach on our communities’ most pressing matters — including recent financial policies and capital improvement program changes.

The Select Board sets policy on how we get things done and supplies leadership. It also bears responsibility to keep residents informed. I will strive be your representative that will speak plainly, provide meaningful summary of activity and listen to your thoughts. I can bring a new, but experienced voice to discussion on the matters our community encounters and hit the ground running in bringing them to vote and closure.

Today and over the coming weeks, I’ll strive to earn your vote by discussing what I have and will do to make our town a better place. I ask for your continued support and vote on March 28.
