Book Discussion Group at the Goodnow Library — the 'Bookies'

The Goodnow Library is offering a Book Discussion Group to meet bi-monthly at the library. The first meeting will be Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 7 pm. We’ll read Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. The public is welcome to stop by the library, sign up and pick up a copy.

As we continue, various fiction and non-fiction titles will be suggested for consideration. Members of the group may also offer their own suggestions.   We hope to read some exciting, fun, serious and provocative books and to share in an informal, but lively and balanced discussion among all. Randy LeSage, a staff member of the library, will offer guidance within the discussions.

He will also provide titles selected to be available at the library for members. Randy has directed a former library book discussion group for many years.   To tip things off, we offer a possible name for our group, the "Bookies." A group that easily goes undercover while reading books you can really bet on. Read 'em and weep, or laugh... have fun, get smart!   Stop by the library to sign up. Then pick up the "Bookies" book. See you at the Book Discussion!
