Bus Tour of the Historical Sites and Stories of the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge – Friends of Assabet River NWR
Due to popular demand, Friends of Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge present a special spring bus tour offered.
Join Maynard Historian Paul Boothroyd for a bus tour and entertaining stories and anecdotes of the historical sites at the Assabet River NWR. Visit sites dating back to Native Americans, George Washington, the War of Independence, and World War II.
Meet at the Assabet River NWR Visitor Center at 680 Hudson Road in Sudbury. Enjoy the exhibits and learn about the Assabet River Refuge and the seven other Refuges in Eastern Massachusetts Refuge Complex managed by the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

Tour starts promptly at noon. Tickets at $9.00 per person and must be purchased in advance. Reserve you space early by calling Paul Boothroyd at (978) 835-4515. Tickets go on sale March 1, 2011.
