25.8 million people in the United States or 8.3% of the population have diabetes – chances are you know one of them. This class is designed for family or friends of people with diabetes. Participants will learn the difference between normal glucose regulation and types of diabetes. After this program, you will be able to understand the rationale behind basic diabetes treatment plans, identify acute complications of diabetes, and know when to seek medical attention. Leave with practical tips to help your loved one better manage diabetes.
