Friend’s of Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge Winter Film Series – “Mother Nature’s Child”

Friend’s of Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge presents the documentary “Mother Nature’s Child.” Popcorn will be provided!

This 2010 film explores nature’s powerful role in children’s health and development. The film marks a moment in time when a living generation can still recall childhoods of free play outdoors; this will not be true for most children growing up today. The effects of “nature deficit disorder” are now being noted across the country in epidemics of child obesity, attention disorders, and depression.

The program will be held at the Visitor Center at the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge at 680 Hudson Road in Sudbury.
