Friend’s of Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge Present a Talk by Author Jill Phelps Kern – ““Take A Hike! Exploring the Woods and Waters of the Sudbury, Assabet and Concord Rivers.”

Friend’s of Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge presents a talk by Jill Phelps Kern entitled, “Take A Hike! Exploring the Woods and Waters of the Sudbury, Assabet and Concord Rivers.”

The Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge and Great Meadows National Wildlife Reservations lie in the heart of the Sudbury-Assabet-Concord (SuAsCo) Watershed a region encompassing over 1,000 miles of hiking trails in over 30 towns.

Jill Phelps Kern, author of the book Hiking the SuAsCo Watershed  has explored them all and will share photographs, maps, and experiences from over 20 years of hiking in the area. She hopes to inspire you to get out and explore for yourself. Jill is a board member of the Stow Conservation Trust.

The program will be held at the Visitor Center at the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge at 680 Hudson Road in Sudbury.
