Friend’s of Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge Presents “Birds of a Feather Fest: A Day that really is ‘For the Birds!’”

Join Friend’s of Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge for a day filled with birding activities to explore the wonders of our feathered friends. Programs are geared towards 9-12 year olds, however all ages are welcome. Program held at Visitor Center at 680 Hudson Rd, Sudbury, MA.

Here’s the schedule.

  • 10:00 AM – Beginner’s family bird walk
  • 11:00 AM – Crafts and Facepainting
  • 1:00 PM – Migration headache: Become a migratory bird and experience the challenges it endures each season
  • 1:30 PM – Technology in Wildlife Watching – learn about the different “tools” a naturalist uses to watch wildlife
  • 2:00 PM - Showing of “Winged Migration”
