The Goodnow Library Children’s Department would like to thank the community for its outpouring of generous LEGO donations. Thanks to Holly Leon, Jennifer Cavallaro, Tabitha Evans, Teresa David, Viviana Hardy, Jay Goldstein, Michael Polito, Tammy Hall, Meaghan Lewis, Rowan Yelton, Judy Mack, anonymous donors and any others whose name we inadvertently missed. Because of the immediate and generous response of the Sudbury community, Goodnow now has a wonderful inventory and is ready to launch its first LEGO program.
Goodnow is excited to announce that its first LEGO workshop will be on Wednesday, Dec. 28, from 2-4 pm. It will be a drop-in program and no registration is needed. Children ages 6 and older are invited to attend. Parents or caretakers are welcome to join their children in the fun, but siblings younger than 3 years old will not be allowed in the program room while the LEGOs are being used because of choking hazards associated with very small LEGO pieces.
Children’s Room staff wants input on the types of LEGO programs children and families would be interested in attending at the library. A LEGO survey is available in the Children’s Room and is also available on the Goodnow Library website.
