A frighteningly fun evening appropriate for the whole family, Drumlin Farm’s annual Tales of the Night event will be held on Oct. 27 and 28 from 6:30 pm-9:00 pm, with hayrides beginning at 7:00 pm. The event’s centerpiece, the Haunted Hayride, pulls visitors along through a series of Halloween skits in Drumlin’s vegetable fields, lit by bonfires.
A Halloween tradition in the Metrowest area, Tales of the Night offers the perfect combination of spookiness and silliness, making it a prime event for families. "Moms and dads tell us that this is a family favorite," says Christy Foote-Smith, Drumlin Farm's Sanctuary Director. "They come back year after year to see what’s new and to celebrate an annual tradition of Halloween festivities at the farm." Admission is $10 per person and free for children under age 2. Pre-registration is not required but is strongly recommended, as this event often sells out. To register, call 781.259.2218.
Visitors will have the chance to meet hissing cockroaches in our creepy crawly critter mansion, learn about animals at a nocturnal wildlife demonstration, view our display of over one hundred jack-o-lanterns, and enjoy some spooky treats and witches brew. Kids of all ages will enjoy stepping into a story on our Nursery Rhyme Trail, where they will meet Little Miss Muffet, Little Bo Peep (and her lost sheep), Little Red Riding Hood, and the Three Little Pigs! Everyone is encouraged to wear costumes of their own and bring flashlights to help light the way around the farm.
