It is that time of the year! We have just celebrated Halloween and are preparing for Thanksgiving. Our next big celebrations are the December HOLIDAYS. But what other holidays are celebrated around the World?? Come to the Historic Hosmer House and see a few of them.
Our tour through the house will show:
- The New Comers in the parlor with Portraits, Past and Present.
- Andrea Roesler Designs in the dining room with Advent.
- Hope Sudbury in the downstairs Hallway with Boxing Day.
- The Thursday Garden Club in the back bedroom with St. Lucia's Day.
- The VFW Post 8771 in the bathroom with Christmas in the Trenches.
- Center Stage Design in the Children's Room with 3 King's Day.
- The Curtis Girl Scout Troops are in the ball room with Festivals of Lights featuring Kwanza, Dwali and Hanukkah and a wishing tree.
- The Sudbury Villager's in the front bedroom with New Year's Eve.
- The Sudbury Garden Club in the Upstairs Hallway with Winter Solstice.
- And finally, come down into the General Store and see a Victorian Christmas tree and small crèches while you enjoy some cookies and drinks.

The General store will feature the 2010 cup plate (9/11 monument located in Heritage Park), A Christmas boutique, throws, poster, books , writing paper, and the best Ginger bread cookies handmade by one of our docents. All donations are used for restoration of the paintings and items in the house. Come get into the holiday spirit at the Holiday Open House Winter Holidays in the Hosmer House.
