Maundy Thursday potluck and service - 6:30pm
Maundy Thursday is the anniversary of the Last Supper. Jesus gathered his apostles for dinner and foretold his death and resurrection. The Deacons of MCC host an annual pot luck dinner at 6 pm, this year on Thursday , April 5. We gather for a meal and then conduct a brief candlelight service of readings which tell the story of the Last Supper. For many members this is one of the most moving services of the year. If you are able to bring a dish, please add it to the meal. However, bringing food is not a requirement. There is room for everyone at our table.
Memorial Congregational Church is an Open and Affirming congregation. That means that no matter who you are or where you are on your spiritual journey, you are welcome to participate. Really. Holy Week is a marvelous time to come back to church and we hope that you will join us.
