Since 1947 the band has been performing FREE concerts to the local towns’ people every Wednesday throughout the summer months. One of the longest, if not THE longest tradition the town can claim. With an updated mix of material, the members “Give Back” their musical gift of talent to the town of Maynard.

If you play a band instrument (brass, woodwind or percussion) we would cordially invite you to join us in rehearsal on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at Concord Street Circle in Maynard.
You do not need to feel that you have a high degree of expertise on your instrument, just the ability to read music and the desire to join other like-minded men and women, young and old, who find pleasure in making music and presenting it to others during our concert season. We especially encourage brass and woodwind players to consider joining us, but would welcome all other band instrumentalists as well.
Please see our website at http://www.maynardcommunityband.org or contact Michael, our conductor, at 508-485-3171 or email at mkarp143@verizon.net for more information. We are a very welcoming group, play a wide variety of both traditional and contemporary music and would love to have some additional members in our ensemble.
A challenge to former high school students. Find your old instrument in your closet, clean off the dust and join us at Concord Street Circle, in Maynard, you’ll be glad you did…We Promise!
