Slam Poet Sensation Taylor Mali Comes to Lincoln and Sudbury

Taylor Mali is one of the few people in the world to have no job other than that of "poet.” He has studied drama with members of The Royal Shakespeare Company. He was one of the
original poets on the HBO series Russell Simmons Presents Def Poetry and was the "Armaniclad villain" of Paul Devlin's 1997 documentary film SlamNation.

Mali is an advocate of teachers and of the nobility of teaching, having spent nine years in the classroom teaching everything from English to history and math. He has performed and lectured for teachers all over the world.

His goal: create 1,000 new teachers through "poetry, persuasion, and perseverance." Mali’s poems are hysterically funny, sentimental and smart.
