Hop Brook Protection Association (HBPA) is organizing a waterchestnut harvesting event on STEARNS MILL POND on Saturday June 23rd, starting accross from 520 Dutton Road, from the grassy area adjacent to the dam.
HBPA is working towards the restauration of the Hop Brook stream and ponds in Sudbury.
Come and join us with your canoe, rake, or manpower.
As one may have noted STEARNS MILL POND has had an excessive amount of invasive plants in recent years.
A "Blue Ribbon BBQ" will be organized for all volunteers immediately following the harvesting.
For sevaral years HBPA has been harvesting Carding Mill Pond, with great success and now we will make our first attempt to clean-up STEARNS MILL POND.
