The Sudbury Historical Society invites everyone to enjoy the newly published book, "from your loving son" which presents the Civil War Correspondence and Diaries of Private George F. Moore and his family by authors, Mary Ellen Hoover, Elin W. Neiterman (both Sudbury residents) and E. Dianne James. The book is also available for loan at the Goodnow Library!
In this 150th anniversary of the Civil War it is fitting that the letters to and from home displaying the patriotism and idealism of the Sudbury Moore brothers and their family during this long bloody war be made available to the public! A dramatic reading of a selection of the letters was featured during the Launch of the book at the NOV 6th monthly meeting of the Sudbury Historical Society (held at First Parish to accommodate all the people interested in attending).
