The 8th Annual M.O.B Invitational is held in honor of Sudbury resident Matthew Bardsley who died tragically in November 2003 at the age of 22.
According to the "Birdies for Bardsley" website, "Matt Bardsley was a special person who had a positive affect on everyone who knew him. He had friends all around him and was directly responsible for bringing many of them together. As "Bards" was a tie and connection for many friends, we now host The M.O.B. Invitational weekend as a way to keep friends of Matt in touch, and bring them all together to celebrate in Matt's honor. "Birdies for Bardsley" was established to keep Matt's name alive in the community and his spirit in our hearts.
