On Saturday, Nov. 6, the Coffee House on the Rocky Plain at First Parish Sudbury Unitarian Universalist Meeting House, 327 Concord Road, will host its second-season kick-off with singer-songwriter Tom Smith and his daughter Mally Smith.
Tom interweaves folk songs with original tunes that are reminiscent of the very best of the old school folk tradition. Presenting an easygoing and engaging style, Tom's roots are in the 60's Cambridge folk scene. Emerging indie artist, Mally Smith will remind you of a young Shawn Colvin, combining original songs and well-chosen covers with guitar and vocals. The Drewbadour, Drew Stevens, a local singer-songwriter, opens the show at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.
The show will also be "Warm Clothes, Warm Hearts" night when gently used jackets, coats, gloves, mittens and hats will be collected and distributed to those in need at area homeless shelters.
