Although know mainly for his controversial books, Thomas Hardy wished to be remembered first and foremost as a poet. Often considered the first modern poet, he looks unsentimentally and unflinchingly at the world and reports what he sees.
During this six-week seminar, Stephen Collins will lead the class through a study and examination of some of Hardy’s greatest works.
Mr. Collins is a teacher, actor, and historical tour guide. His teaching style has been described as a hybrid between teaching and performance.
