Football Fun 101 at St Anselm's

Come out and help support the St. Anselm 10th grade Confirmation Class’s Public Service Project to raise money for the USO “to support our troops” while participating in Football Fun 101!!

The main fundraiser is an “indoor tailgate party” in the church hall (100 Landham Road, Sudbury) before the AFC Championship Game on January 23rd.  The students will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets and the winner will be announced at halftime.  They are also raising money at the event from food sales (with the food and drinks donated by local merchants) and a “silent auction” of some items (e.g. Celtics tickets, Red Sox tickets, gift certificates from local businesses, etc.) all while watching the game on a big screen TV.

Two former Patriots players, Mike Ruth and Tom Porell, will be at the tailgate party to lead a “chalk talk” on the X’s and O’s of football in a fun, lighthearted manner that will be good entertainment for all.

How can you help?  By donating food (hot dogs, pizza, chips, soda, water, etc.), and/or purchasing raffle tickets for $5.00 per ticket, or 5 tickets for $20.00.  The winner will receive 50% of all money raised from raffle ticket sales.  The students will be selling raffle tickets after Mass at St. Anselm’s Parish for the next couple of weeks to maximize the amount they can donate to the USO.

The Confirmation Class is comprised of high school sophomores from Lincoln/Sudbury High School and Framingham High School, and are led by their teacher, Chris Kenney, of Sudbury.  If you have any questions, would like to donate, or need more details, please call Chris at 978-443-3153.
