Fire Destroys 15 Cars at Land Rover Dealership

A total of 15 cars were destroyed and five were damaged in an overnight blaze that ripped through a car dealership in Sudbury last night, with firefighters from Marlborough, Concord and Maynard called in to help contain the fire.
A passerby called 911 to report that the outdoor fire was happening at the Herb Chambers Land Rover dealership on Route 20 around 1:07 a.m. Monday morning.

“Crews had heavy fire showing from several vehicles upon arrival at the auto dealership,” Chief William Miles said.
Several vehicles, including cars and SUVs, were ablaze when firefighters arrived. Firefighters aggressively battled and were able to contain the fire.

Sudbury Police, working with Sudbury Fire and the office State Fire Marshal Stephen D. Coan, are investigating the fire to determine a cause and origin, as well as to determine if the fires were deliberately set.
No injuries were reported.
