Sudbury Womans Club meets today.

1. ORGANIZATIONS: Sudbury Womans Club with Rebecca Chizzo

The Sudbury Womans Club will feature Rebecca Chizzo of Sudbury, founder of Sudbury Weed Education and Eradication Team (S.W.E.E.T.), speaking about invasive plants which are a major problem in Massachusetts.

Chizzo is focusing on educating homeowners to get people to pull and cut the weeds around their own property.

The club meets monthly from October to May on the third Thursday with most of the meetings at . Its mission is to provide women with a means for philanthropy and they award a scholarship.

2. ORGANIZATIONS: Sudbury Historica Society

There will be a Red Cross Blood Drive at from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Roll up your sleeves and give, or help — just as it was done in the 30s, 40s, and 50s here in the Town Hall. The Sudbury Companies of Militia & Minute will be in attendance to assist.

3. FAMILY: Story and craft time

Bring your kids between the ages of 2 to 6 to Goodnow Library at 10 a.m. for story and craft time.

4. FAMILY: LEGO Club

Bring your kids ages 9 and up to Goodnow Library at 7 p.m. for LEGO Club. Registration is required. For more information, contact the library at 978-443-1035.

5. SPORTS & RECREATION: Girls lacrosse

The Lincoln-Sudbury girls lacrosse team hits the road for a game against Newton South. Opening faceoff is slated for 10 a.m.
