Five Things You Need to Know Today: April 2

1. RELIGIOUS: Holy Week services

The (PCIS) will present Holy Week sermons by Pastor Bill McIvor. The sermon titles and texts are: Palm Sunday, Apr 1 – “Into the Storm” (Mark 11.1-11); Holy Monday – “Eternity” (John 17.1-5); Holy Tuesday – “Belonging” (John 17.6-12); Holy Wednesday – “Holiness” (John 17.13-19); Maundy Thursday – “Oneness” (John 17.20-26); Easter Sunday, Apr 8 – “Unexpected and New” (John 20.1-18).

All are welcome. Holy Week evening services are from today to Thursday 7:30 p.m. The community Good Friday service begins at noon at the Martha Mary Chapel. The Easter Vigil on Saturday is at 9 p.m. at PCIS. Sunday services are at 9:30 and 11 a.m..

2. SPORTS & RECREATION: Girls lacrosse

The Lincoln-Sudbury girls lacrosse team plays host to Westwood. Opening faceoff is slated for 4 p.m. at .

3. GOVERNMENT: Board of Appeals meeting

4. RELIGOUS: Middle School Youth Group

The Presbyterian Church in Sudbury Middle School Youth Group meets Mondays from 4-6 p.m. at PCIS and often includes activities providing time for fellowship and programming based on the Sunday school lessons. All middle schoolers are welcome and so are their friends!

The goal is to facilitate a loving and nurturing environment for your kids to enjoy at church and encouraging them take that into the world with them.
