Five Things You Need to Know Today: April 5

Enjoy a pot luck and service at Memorial Congregational Church.

1. RELIGIOUS: Maundy Thursday pot luck and service

Maundy Thursday is the anniversary of the Last Supper. Jesus gathered his apostles for dinner and foretold his death and resurrection. The Deacons of will host an annual pot luck dinner at 6 p.m. We gather for a meal and then conduct a brief candlelight service of readings which tell the story of the Last Supper. For many members this is one of the most moving services of the year. If you are able to bring a dish, add it to the meal. However, bringing food is not a requirement. There is room for everyone at our table. The dinner and service wrap up by 8 p.m. at the latest.
