Learn about social media at the Sudbury Social Tweetup.

1. CLASSES & LECTURES: Sudbury Social Tweetup

Two residents of Sudbury, Bob Cargill and Phil Hollows, will be hosting the eighth Sudbury Social Tweetup at from 6-8 p.m.

The purpose of this networking event is to bring together business people, marketers and professionals who live or work in Sudbury and the surrounding communities who want to meet others from the area and learn more about such social media communications tools as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and blogs.

Bob and Phil plan to host the Sudbury Social Tweetup on the last Thursday of each month throughout the year. At each Tweetup, there will be an informal discussion about a different social media-related topic. In March, the topic will be "Foursquare and Location-Based Marketing" and in April, the topic will be "Pinterest for Business."

2. SCHOOL EVENTS: Sudbury Cooperative Preschool Open House

The will hold an open house for prospective students and their families from 9:30 - 11:30 am. Come take a parent-guided tour of our bright, cheerful classrooms for 2- to 5-year olds!

Sudbury Cooperative Preschool is a family-centered learning environment with a community of trusted adults working together for the education of each child. Unique among area preschools, we offer parents the opportunity to actively participate in their children's success.

Located at 26 Concord Road, across the street from . The preschool facilities are located inside the Memorial Congregational Church, but with no affiliation. Parking is accessed from Church Street.

3. GOVERNMENT: Commission on Disability meeting

The Commission on Disability has been cancelled and rescheduled for Monday, April 2, at 7 p.m. at the Sudbury Council on Aging.

4. VOLUNTEER: Host family needed for Romanian students

Give your family a wonderful month of cross-cultural experience this summer.   Educational Enrichment for Romanian Children (EERC), a Sudbury non-profit, seeks host families (full or partial hosting) for three Romanian middle school students for five weeks (June 27 - July 30). The students are ages 13 to 15 years old, speak English, and were chosen in a competitive process for their exceptional personal and academic qualities.
