Intel and OARS have teamed up to offer an exciting hands-on workshop that provides clear examples of innovation and a chance to experience the transformation of ideas into solutions. The workshop will focus on applying innovative ideas to solving real environmental challenges in the Assabet, Sudbury and Concord River Watersheds.

The same principles can be applied to problem-solving in general, a skill valued for college applications and career development. The workshop also prepares students interested in entering the 2012/13 Intel-OARS Environmental Innovators Contest.

The Innovation Workshop was created and will be taught by professional innovators from 6- 9 p.m. at the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge.

A light pizza supper will be served.

This workshop is free and open to all grade 9-12 students in the Assabet, Sudbury, and Concord watersheds (from Westborough to Lowell).

3. FAMILY: Pajama story time

There will be a Mother's Day pajama story time for family members ages 3 to 103 with stories, songs, and Mothers' Day card making at at 7 p.m.

Treats provided by the Friends of the Library.

4. SPORTS & RECREATION: Girls lacrosse

The Lincoln-Sudbury girls lacrosse team plays host to Acton-Boxborough. Opening faceoff is slated for 4 p.m. at .

5. FAMILY: Story and craft time

Bring your kids between the ages of 2 to 6 to Goodnow Library for story and craft time at 10 a.m.
