Former L-S Pitching Coach Helps Y-D Sox to Another Cape League Championship

Earlier this week, the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox won the Cape Cod Baseball League Championship for the second year in a row.

Coach Matt Blake helped lead the team to victory. As ESPN reported, Blake was the pitching coach at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School for the past five years before taking on the role with the Y-D Red Sox this season.

ESPN notes that Blake, who is from Sudbury, holds the unique position of being among the few who coached a champion high school and college team in the state.

Blake is also an associate scout for the New York Yankees.
