Beloved Husband of the late Christine L. (Vergato).

Devoted Father of Dominic Vecchione and his wife Elaine and Christine “Tina” Mitchell and her late husband Ken.

Loving Grandfather of Dawn Proia and her husband David, Kelli Tempesta and her husband Mark, Kenny Mitchell Jr., Michael Vecchione and his wife Emily and Mark Vecchione. And Great-Grandfather of DJ, Chris, Ashley, Brian and Dustin Proia and Markie Tempesta.

Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Veteran of WWII, US Army serving in the 66th Black Panther Infantry Division and member of the American Legion Post 440.

Visiting hours in the Andrew J. Magni & Son Funeral Home, 365 Watertown St, Rt. 16, Newton, Friday from 4-8PM and again Saturday morning at 9:30AM, before proceeding to Our Lady Help of Christians Church, 573 Washington St, Newton for a 10:30AM Funeral Mass. Burial Newton Cemetery.
