Join the Friends of the Goodnow Library for a special Pop-up Book Sale on Friday, December 6th and Saturday, December 7th from 10 AM-5 PM. Look for the sale tables in the main area of the library. The Friends will be offering gift quality books for holiday giving at discounted prices. Choose from a selection of adult fiction and nonfiction books, teen, and children’s books.
The Friends of the Goodnow Library provide annual funding for the library to supplement the library budget voted by the town, items not paid for by taxes. Funds raised by the Friends help provide most library programs for adults, teens, and children, the summer reading programs, all the museum passes, the movie license that enables the library to show free movies, the library entry gardens, the copy machines and supplies. The Friends have also paid for the furnishings and charging station in the main seating area on the first floor, the book drop and the piano.
