We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager for our Sudbury Store. This is an exciting opportunity for a success-driven candidate like you who thrives on not only meeting, but exceeding sales goals! This role ensures that all staff members adhere to set operating standards, preferred customer programs and consistently deliver the highest level of customer service. You will tap in to your creative side by playing a key role in merchandising objectives, developing sales-building programs, and of course, assisting customers seeking home decorating advice. The right candidate will support the Store Manager in all phases of store operations and communicate clearly to the staff while maintaining a positive, energetic work environment. JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Assistant Store Manager provides knowledgeable sales assistance to customers, both in the store or on the phone. A solid understanding and working knowledge of all POS procedures and transactions is required. It is also crucial in this role to effectively coach the staff and clearly communicate changes in products, policies and procedures. The goal is to develop strong in-store teams by supporting both the Store Manager and the Sales Team in various ways.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. Bachelor’s Degree preferred; experience may be substituted
  3. Supervisory background in specialty store environment
  4. Customer service and inter-personal skills
  5. Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
  6. Visual/Design skills and experience
  7. Business acumen
  8. Coaching/professional development experience
  9. Able to stand 4 – 8 hours per shift
  10. Ability to navigate a ladder
  11. Valid driver’s license
