ICYMI: 19 Bags of Heroin in Car With Man Slumped Over in DD's Lot

Police headed to Dunkin Donuts and found a man slumped over in the driver's seat, with 19 bags of heroin in his car.

SUDBURY, MA — A homeless man is under arrest after police responded to a call that the person was "out of it" in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot.

A concerned patron called around 10:35 a.m. on May 2 to report the suspicious man sitting in his Chevy Cruze in the Dunkin Donuts lot.

Officers found Scott P. Martin, 23, homeless, in the driver's seat, slumped over, when they arrived. They found a number of signs of intravenous drug use. A total of 19 bags of heroin, $3,736.50 in cash, and two cell phones were seized, as well.

Martin was placed under arrest for Possession of a Class A Substance (Heroin) with Intent to Distribute.

He is scheduled to be arraigned at Framingham District Court Tuesday morning.

"We would like to thank the concerned citizen who made it possible to make the arrest," said Police Chief Scott Nix, "while removing the heroin from the streets and remind others to report suspicious circumstances as you never know what might result, even in Sudbury."
