L-S Committee Voting to Decline School Choice Participation

SUDBURY, MA—The Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School Committee tackles an action item at its next meeting to decline participation in School Choice Program for 2017-2018 as part of its agenda.

According to the Friedman Foundation, School Choice "allows public education funds to follow students to the schools or services that best fit their needs—whether that’s to a public school, private school, charter school, home school or any other learning environment parents choose for their kids."

The committee, which meets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, for the public session at the Superintendent's Conference Room, addresses an agenda that also includes a presentation from the METCO Director and an update on operations from the finance director.
