L-S Superintendent Carpenter Accepts Offer to Take Monomoy Post
Scott Carpenter had been one of four finalists for the Cape Cod school district position.

Earlier this year Lincoln-Sudbury Superintendent/Principal Scott Carpenter was a finalist to take over the same post for Harvard Public Schools.
The Harvard school committee ultimately decided to look elsewhere when Carpenter was the lone candidate left after the other two bowed out for different reasons. When it became clear he was not what the committee was looking for, Carpenter withdrew.
Now, Carpenter is one step closer to again leaving the Lincoln-Sudbury Regional School District after he was offered, and accepted, the Monomoy Regional School District on Cape Cod.

In a breaking news email from the Cape Cod Chronicle that was forwarded to Sudbury Patch, the announcement is pending negotiation of a contract.
According to the Chronicle, the school committee voted unanimously to offer the job to Carpenter based on his strong advocacy for students, his fiscal acumen and his experience in school building projects. Carpenter is a doctoral candidate at Northeastern University, and holds masters degrees in education and science education from Harvard, Boston University and Lehigh University.

The Chronicle reports Carpenter won high praise for his integrity, his commitment to life-long learning, and his district's strong educational performance, even at a time when multimillion dollar budget cuts were a necessity.
When reached via email, Carpenter said he would comment on Monomoy at a later time.
