L-S Superintendent Makes His Pitch to Take Over Cape Cod Post

Scott Carpenter had a job interview with the Monomoy district school committee last week.

Lincoln-Sudbury Superintendent/Principal Scott Carpenter was one of four finalists last week trying to convince the Monomoy Regional School District School Committee they are the right candidate to become its new superintendent.

According to the Cape Cod Chronicle, the school committee will visit each candidate's current district next week, and plan to vote its final selection on April 3.

In the report, Carpenter told the committee moving to Cape Cod would be best for him and his family.

Carpenter was asked by the committee to identify his three most important accomplishments in education. He cited a science program he put in place in the Lexington schools that was much stronger when he left. He also cited a legacy he left in Lexington of hiring young teachers who were passionate about teaching, adding it takes patience to find the right person.
