LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Abair Will Help Develop Sudbury Properly
Resident Mark Aisenberg says Pete Abair is the right candidate for the Sudbury Planning Board.

I'm writing to offer an endorsement of Pete Abair for Sudbury Planning Board.
Pete is a neighbor and friend with whom I've had many hours of discussion about the town and its direction. I believe Pete holds practical, commonsense views on development in town. Pete believes that development and density are not inherently good or bad, but rather that they are appropriate in some areas of town and not others, and that we can actively guide development to meet the needs of the residents.
Increasing density and encouraging both residential and commercial development along Route 20 make sense. Putting large residential developments in quiet neighborhoods, or on wetlands, does not. Pairing increases in density with improvements to our transportation infrastructure (sidewalks connecting commercial islands, bike paths, perhaps shuttle buses in the future, e.g.) makes sense. Burdening quiet streets with large car-dependent developments does not.

I'm confident that Pete will approach town planning with personal integrity, and open mind, and fresh eyes, without regard to personal gain or party politics.
