Lincoln-Sudbury Girls Lacrosse Team Cruises to Victory

How much of a rout was Lincoln-Sudbury's win over Westford Acadmey in Westford on Tuesday afternoon? Well, for starters, Lincoln-Sudbury head coach Debbie DeJesus started giving her postgame speech with four minutes left in the fourth quarter.

The Warriors proved their pedigree as one of the best teams in the state throughly trouncing the Ghosts, 21-8.

Although it was close heading into the half, the Warriors scored six goals in 2:10 early in the second half to eliminate any hopes the home team might have had.

"I wish the game could have ended at halftime, I was proud my girls kept it so close against such as great team," said Westford Academy head coach Julie Olivier. "I'm hoping Lincoln-Sudbury wins the state title this year so we can say we were able to stand toe-to-toe with the champs like we were able to early on."

With the loss, the Ghosts fall to 2-2 and will seek to rebound here at home against Milton on Friday.
