Jeffrey Dees has accepted the principal position at Upham Elementary School in Wellesley.

(EDITOR'S NOTE: Below is an email forwarded to Sudbury Patch regarding Loring Elementary School Prinicpal Jeffrey Dees.)
"I wanted to communicate to you about my decision regarding the Wellesley Principal position at Upham Elementary School. I have been faced with a very difficult decision. It is an unbelievable pleasure and privilege to be able to work for you and your children. We have built an enormously successful school. The success at Loring is a direct result of many people coming together with a single focus and then applying a tremendous amount of effort each day. The best part of all that hard work is that it is now sustainable.
"After much thought and careful consideration I have decided to take on a different position to benefit my family. This will be my last year at Loring. I do feel very confident that the leadership that has been developed within Loring will be able to continue the excellence we have fought hard to build. We also have many fun-filled days before the end of this school year.

"In the next couple of days I will speak to our Loring Leadership team and Dr. Wilson to decide the best strategy when speaking to the students about the change. Dr. Wilson will also begin the next steps of hiring the next Loring principal. As always, I will communicate with you every step of the way."
