Man Shot In Drive-By, Refuses Help And To Cooperate With Police
Worcester police are trying to find information on suspects who reportedly pulled up and shot at a man who was walking on Harrison Street.

WORCESTER, MA — Police are looking for suspects who allegedly pulled up, shot at a man who was walking, and took off. The victim refused to cooperate, and also tried to take off, leaving detective with very few leads.
Around 12:30 a.m., Worcester police on Monday, Feb. 6, headed to 23 Columbia St. for reports of gun shots in the area. Police checked in the vicinity of 63 Harrison St., and found a 26-year-old man suffering from a gun shot wound to his leg. The officers tried to aid him, but he screamed obscenities at them and refused help. Paramedics arrived and tried to treat the victim, too, when he tried to run away and officers had to restrain him in a nearby back yard so paramedics could examine his leg. He was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He refused to provide any information or description on the suspect to officers.
Witnesses said that the victim was walking on Harrison Street when a car drove by. They heard a loud bang and the victim fell to the ground, but no description of the suspect vehicle was provided.
Police found two spent shell casings at the intersection of Blake and Columbia streets.
