Marlborough Man Arrested on Warrant, License Charges

The following arrest information was supplied by the Sudbury Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A motor vehicle stop by the Sudbury Police Department on April 22 resulted in the arrest of a Marlborough man.

According to Lt. Scott Nix, an officer on patrol on Boston Post Road witnessed a car speeding just after midnight.

Vinicius Gomes-DaSilva, 22, of 33 Rice Street, was pulled over at about 12:15 a.m. After the responding officer completed an investigation, Gomes-DaSilva was arrested and charged with:

  • Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle;
  • Speeding;
  • Operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

The investigation also showed Gomes-DaSilva had a default warrant out for his arrest from Northborough.

According to Nix, the warrant was for:

  • Failure to slow;
  • Operating under the influence of liquor;
  • Marked lanes violation.

Gomes-DaSilva was held overnight and was scheduled to be arraigned later that day at Framingham District Court.
