More Pelham Island Bridge Sections Rolling through Town Friday

The Pelham Island Road bridge over the Sudbury River is taking shape.

Getting it to this point, however, has required quite a lot of work as well as some significant transportation issues as enormous concrete sections of the bridge traveled through Wayland on the way to the construction site.

According Pelham Island resident Gary Slep, the last three bridge sections are expected to arrive Friday, with two coming through Wayland and the third arriving on the Sudbury-facing side of the river.

The area behind Whole Foods in Wayland will be busy today, so avoid it today if at all possible.
