Motor Vehicle Stop in Sudbury Turns Into Drug Bust

A motor vehicle stop by the Sudbury Police Department Wednesday night turned into a drug arrest of two Framingham men, Lt. Scott Nix said in a release.

"An investigation by Sudbury Police detectives resulted in a motor vehicle stop on Nobscot Road at approximately 8:39 p.m. on March 13," he said. "During the stop two male suspects, Brendan Fleming (24) of 26 Montgomery Drive in Framingham, and David Akasa (24) of 72 Harrington Road in Framingham, were placed in custody."

Nix said detectives placed the men in custody for possession of a class B substance with intent to distribute (various pills were believed to contain oxycodone hydrochloride) and conspiracy to violate the controlled substance laws. 

Just under $2,800 in cash was seized, as well as 128 pills. 

Akasa was held overnight on $3,000 cash bail and will be transported to Framingham District Court this morning for arraignment. Fleming was bailed the previous evening for appearance at Framingham District Court this morning, as well, Nix said.
