In keeping with strict cautionary COVID protocol, virtual property inspections replaced physical property inspections. The assessing department in late spring contacted property owners subject to inspection this year advising of the new protocol, and asked that they provide information to the assessing department regarding the on-going or completed project. Many property owners complied with the request. At this time, data collectors will be conducting exterior reviews of the remaining properties. This phase of the program will commence on October 20, 2020.
Data collectors carry an Assessor’s letter of authorization (which includes department contact information). Vehicle and registration details are on file with the Sudbury Police Department.
