Sky Out, Bistro 20 In

After the closing of Sky Restaurant, Bistro 20 is poised to be the next great eatery in town.

Those who were sad to see Sky restaurant close earlier this year may not need to mourn much longer. That's because a new restaurant called Bistro 20 will host its grand opening in Sudbury next week.

Shane Manfred and Ali Bigdeli are the new co-owners of Bistro 20 restaurant, which is slated to open either Monday or Tuesday, depending on state inspections, according to the owners, at 120 Boston Post Road. The two have been in business partnerships with each other for more than 20 years, and say they are looking forward to their latest venture in Sudbury.

Manfred, who also owns Billino's restaurant in Wakefield, said Bistro 20 is going to be an American-Italian restaurant and tavern, with an emphasis on family-style dining.

Manfred said that in addition to family dining, Bistro 20 will also concentrate on hosting functions for businesses and other private events. He said that while there will be a function room available in the restaurant, they will also be available for catering off-site functions as well.

In the meantime, Manfred and Bigdeli encourage those interested in applying for jobs at Bistro 20 to check out the restaurant's website at www.bistro20restaurant.com.
