Still No Cause Determined in Sudbury Car Lot Fire
Police and fire are still investigating the cause of a fire at the Herb Chambers lot earlier this week.

Police and fire departments still haven’t found the cause of a fire that destroyed at least 18 cars at a Herb Chambers dealership in Sudbury on Monday morning.
According to Fire Chief William Miles and Police Chief Scott Nix, as well as State Fire Marshal Stephen D. Coan, the fire is “still under investigation.”
The fire started in one vehicle and extended to 18 others early Monday morning at the Herb Chambers Land Rover Jaguar of Sudbury. It started in a Jaguar and extended to the other vehicles, which included Land Rovers, Range Rovers, Jeeps and Jaguars. The damage is estimated at $500,000. There were no injuries.

The investigative team is working with private sector counterparts who are bringing in experts in motor vehicle fires to assist with the forensic examination of the Jaguar where the fire originated.
The fire is being jointly investigated by the Sudbury Fire Department, Sudbury Police Department and State Police assigned to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
