Sudbury Athlete OK After Team Bus Involved in Fatal Crash in New York
Evan White is a member of the St. Michael's men's lacrosse team.

According to Facebook and Twitter reports, one person is dead and another critically injured after a crash in New York state involving two cars and a bus.
The bus was carrying members of the St. Michael's College men's lacrosse team which was on its way to a game on Long Island.
One of the members of the team is Evan White of Sudbury.

His mother, Elizabeth White, told Sudbury Patch he is OK.
"Everyone is fine," she said. "He called right after the accident."

Elizabeth White said two other cars were involved in the accident and that there was one fatality. Members of the lacrosse team were taken to a local firehouse while the team tries to figure out how to get another bus there
"It was a little shocking (to get the call)," she said.
Online reports say the accident happened just before noon today on Interstate 87 in Saratoga County, about 15-20 miles north of Albany.
