Sudbury Awarded Nearly $1M In Grants For Sidewalk, Crosswalk, Culvert Projects

SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury has received more than $956,000 in state grant funding for sidewalk, crosswalk and culvert projects around town.

The Town of Sudbury Department of Public Works announced the funding through MassDOT's fiscal 2026 Complete Streets and Community Culvert programs, which will support three projects focused on pedestrian safety, roadway infrastructure, drainage resiliency and environmental sustainability.

The largest award is $724,958 through the Community Culvert Program for construction on the Old Sudbury Road culvert over freshwater wetlands, according to the town.

Sudbury also received $116,737.50 through the Complete Streets Funding Program for construction on the Goodnow Library at Concord Road crosswalk and sidewalk upgrade project.

A third award of $115,000 through the Community Culvert Program will fund design work for the Concord Road culvert project.

Town officials thanked MassDOT for its continued partnership and support for municipal infrastructure and transportation network improvements.

"We look forward to advancing these important projects for the benefit of Sudbury residents and visitors," the town said in the announcement.
