Sudbury Celebrates 375 Years With a Field Day

Are you ready for the big event this weekend?

The big field day celebrating Sudbury’s 275th anniversary this weekend, and the committee has an amazing lineup events, including fireworks, live music and food.

The following message was posted on the Sudbury town website:

The LS Field Day Event celebrating Sudbury’s 375th Anniversary is this Saturday, September 6, starting at noon. Should the forecast call for rain events will be moved inside Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School and the Fireworks will be held Sunday night.

Check in with GetLocalMA.com for up-to-the-minute information about the day’s events and to see a site map and schedule of activities, live bands and the Lincoln-Sudbury Civic Orchestra, Sudbury Main Street booths, food trucks and other vendors.

Parking is limited at LSRHS. Handicapped parking is available. It is strongly suggested that you utilize the shuttle bus service being offered from Loring School, Haskell Field, Town Hall and Haynes School. Buses will operate from those four locations in continuous loops starting at 11:30 a.m. and continuing until all persons have left LS after the fireworks. Parking areas and bus stop locations are marked by signs at those locations. Persons living near the shuttle bus stops are urged to walk to the stops.

Alternate but also limited parking locations include Featherland Park and Nixon Schools for those willing to walk to LS. No parking will be permitted on Concord Road, Lincoln Road, or any of the LSRHS neighborhood side roads. That parking ban will be strictly enforced by the Sudbury Police Department.
